G Diapers are an amazing invention. A colorful outer cotton shell with an absorbant insert. After potty time, you take the insert out, and tear the liner. It comes with a stick that you swish around and then you put in the rest and flush! I've never had a problem with the plumbing. Its a little more hands on with a dirty diaper than you might like, but when you think about what good you are doing for the plant, by not putting a diaper into a landfill, its not that bad. I recommend getting a bigger size than you think you might need, but if its too big, the poopie diapers can get messy. But it all goes into the wash easy, so its no big deal.

Heard about g diapers for a while and finally decided to give it a shot. Well, it did not work for me for a number of reason. We live in a neighborhood where trees are mature and plenty. So almost every home has an imperfect sewer line - tree infested. g diapers are almost as big as regular diapers. Even with the swish-swish magic wand, it did not go down well. Needless to say, the next fews diapers went into the trash before I was able to give the rest away to another mom. I really wish they wrote on the box - "Not for imperfect sewage systems" instead of in a booklet inside the box. Also g diapers soak through pretty fast. For one "regular" diaper, I had to use 2 g diapers. So environmentally it is a toss-up for me.
