E. B. Stones Planting Compost
Offers an all purpose compost made from a blend of composted wood shavings, redwood compost, composted chicken manure, mushroom compost, fir bark, bat guano, kelp meal; made for use in all soil types and plantings Your take
By reviewer cchen 2007-06-04 00:11:57I haven't had a chance to try my hand at composting yet but really needed to enrich my soil for my summer plantings. After a trip to the nursery, I pretty much brought home a complete selection of EB stone products for my plantings. I did feel a bit silly about buying compost when I know I can make my own but in the interest of time, I bought it anyway. I am very happy with the product as it gives my soil the extra nutrients it needs. The compost can also act as mulch as it provides nutrients and help retain the moisture in the summer heat. The compost actually looks richer than the mulch as it is darker in color and gives my soil a nice finish. Also, I happen to pick up this compost on special so it was cheaper than the other brands of compost. Even at regular price, I didn't really notice much of a price difference between EB stone and other brands. It is obviously more expensive than making my own compost but until I can, this is a good alternative. Report this review |
