By reviewer ChrisL 2006-10-10 01:20:17I bought Ecos liquid laundry detergent recently after years of using Tide. Though I loved the smell of the magnolia & lily, I was not sure how well it would clean my kids dirty and stained clothes. Overall I think it has done pretty well. Week-old untreated stains do not get cleaned after a wash, as expected. Normal (without serious stains) clothes come out just fine. One note: you really only need to use a small amount of liquid, especially for small front loading washers. I made the mistake of putting in a capful of liquid. It took 4 washes to get rid all the soap. When you take into account how little you need to use each time, it is no more expensive than the regular detergent. The container design has room for improvement - all 3 bottles (128oz) I have bought from Trader Joe's have the sprout turned at an angle that I have to twist my wrist to pour without dripping. So now when I first open a new bottle, I have to turn the sprout really hard to get it to the right angle. My friends don't seem to have any problems. Could it be just the ones from Trader Joe's? By reviewer cchen 2007-03-31 23:14:31I've seen this brand around but decided to try it after a friend recommended it. It's a bit pricier than my other detergent but I like it. It cleans well in both hot and cold water and is formulated for high efficiency washers (like mine). I tried it on my daughter's clothes and it did not make her sensitive skin itch, which means I can stop washing her clothes in Dreft separately. Now I can wash my whole family's laundry with one detergent and in the same load. Report this review Your take
By reviewer hfosth 2007-06-21 11:49:13I tried several "natural, non-toxic" laundry products before settling on this one and I really like it. It gets clothes clean in hot and cold; I can use it for my 6mos old, 5 year old and both adults; it has a decent smell; it works well in my front-loading high efficency washer. I buy a big bottle at CostCo and find that it lasts a long time. Very happy with this. Report this review Your take
