By reviewer cindyW 2007-01-20 00:54:34Bought it at Whole Foods when it was on sale. Hadn't bought a powder dishwasher detergent for years until this time. I like the smell of the detergent and the cool little sprout design. Most importantly my dishes come out sparkling without the terrible bleach smell. I only wish more stores would carry it. I have been very happy with it and will certainly buy it again. Report this review Your take
By reviewer disargent 2007-03-15 15:13:43I bought this on sale at Whole Foods. While it does smell nice, the powder would get clumpy in the soap holder. After washing every load, I had to chisle out the chucks with a knife. After a couple of weeks and an email to the company, I finally just returned the stuff back to Whole Foods. By reviewer shopper6387 2007-05-29 12:25:54I decided to try powder dishwashing soap as they tend to be a bit cheaper than liquid. I've been staying away from them because the ones I tried before sometimes clump or dispense incorrectly when I use the ECONO setting (cold water and shorter cycle) on my machine. I've had pretty good experiences with ECOS products so I gave it another shot. It cleaned my dishes reasonably well and I didn't have any clumping on my dishes or in the machine dispenser. It did have a stronger smell than my seventh generation one but not nearly as strong as the conventional brands like cascade. In interest of eco-friendly packaging, the powder came in a box but didn't have a traditional metal spout. Instead, the "spout" is also cardboard and you sort of punch it out and fold to make a pouring opening. It's not as easy to use since the opening sometimes folds back into the box but once I got used to it, it was alright. I think seventh generation is still a bit cheaper but the price seems comparable to the other eco-friendly brands. For a powder soap, it's a reasonable product but I'm going to see if I can get it on sale next time. Report this review |
