I have had a large bambu cutting board for three years now and still love it. It does not have the worn look a wooden cutting board often has, probably because the surface is fairly hard. Yet it does not give you the odd feeling when the knife touches a hard surface like a glass cutting board. It looks nice (vertical grain bamboo) and has not absorbed any flavors so far. Before this cutting board, I used to replace cutting boards every couple of years. With this one, it does not look like it needs any replacements any time soon. I am also glad to know that no trees were cut for this board. Bamboo grows really fast, so bamboo products have low impact on the environment.
