I recently started trying the food prep type service as I have less time to cook all my meals from scratch. Sous Kitchen is close to my house and I was very satisfied with my experience. The facility was larger than I expected and was festive (they were playing a variety of music from Snow Patrol to Shawn Colvin). It was a bit busy as there was a large party there and I had to wait at a couple of the popular entree "stations". However, the quality of the ingredients was great - all fresh and natural and no soup base or pre-packaged mixes that usually have lots of preservatives. If it requires chicken broth, broth and not powdered base was provided. To me, that's the major difference between Sous Kitchen and its national chain competitor. The pricing and process are similar to the competitors even though Sous Kitchen seems to try more ethic or slightly more exotic recipes. They also offer a 2 meal trial session and don't charge extra fee for their regular session as long as you make 6 meals. Their New Mexican Chili Verde was a hit even with the most picky Chili Verde eaters of the family. I am definitely going back again since my meals are quickly disappearing from my fridge.
