Earths Best Organic Infant Formula
Formula is certified organic dairy-based and kosher; formerly Horizon brand Your take
By reviewer sarahmck 2007-02-05 16:30:11Thank goodness for Earth's Best. My baby weened herself at 10 months and I had no say in the matter. She wasn't ready for cow's milk yet and I didn't want to give her regular formula. I was able to get this at Safeway for the same price as Whole Foods and it worked great for the two months I had to wait to introduce her to real milk. She liked it just fine. By reviewer disargent 2007-03-15 14:42:40The formula is a decent choice, if you need 100% organic. However, it does not contain DHA or ARA that are essentially to brain development. I called the company and they told me that because these two ingredients are derived from fish and couldn't authenticate it being organic. Personally, I've chosen the new Organic Similac brand, not willing to trade-off brain development. Report this review Your take
By reviewer lillylover 2007-05-21 21:42:49First, I must mention that Earth's Best does sell a soy-based formula with DHA & ARA, so don't let that deter you from buying the product necessarily. We fed our baby the milk-based formula for about four months until we switched to milk on her first birthday--I had breastfed her up until that point. When I looked at other products on the market I noticed that a couple of them contain corn syrup solids--which just can't be a good sign for a formula! Whatever choice you make, just be sure you read the labels carefully and make the best choice for your family. I wouldn't suggest you buy a formula based on price alone. Report this review |
