By reviewer greenmom22 2006-10-09 00:02:07We love Organic Valley milk products, partly because the story behind the Farmers' Co-op. I never even heard of the brand before. Then one day on the way to work, I heard the story of this Farmers' Co-op (out of Wisconsin I think) on NPR. Love the success of family farms working together. And I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that their price was not higher than other so called national brands (though I was willing to pay a little more). Anyway recently I saw a billboard on Highway 101 advertising for Organic Valley dairy products. Hopefully they are reaching more people. The only complaint I have is that I can only find Organic Valley in some stores, definitely not in big chain grocery stores. Report this review Your take
By reviewer amyh 2006-11-21 15:41:49I recently started buying Organic Valley's Lactose Free milk. I was excited to finally find an organic milk for those of us who are lactose intolerant. One downside is that it is more expensive than Lactaid or the grocery store brand, and I've never seen it go on sale. The other downside is that it seems to be just be getting introduced to stores. At first, I could only find the lowfat (1%) version at Whole Foods and my local grocery store(Piazza's) but have recently found that Piazza's is now carrying the fat-fat version too. So, a little pricier and harder to find, but this is one of the products that I find worth buying as organic. Report this review Your take
By reviewer khughes 2006-11-20 15:24:08I like Organic Valley over the other more industrialized brands at the supermarket, but recently I've noticed that they are being pushed off the shelves at the local Andronicos and Whole Foods in favor of the larger brands, or the store-branded milk. By reviewer kitchendancer 2007-01-22 15:57:06Yummy... yummy! So good it taste like sweet cream! I grew up on whole milk and switched to 2% for health, but this brand has the richness of whole milk in their 2%! I feel guilty drinking it... and enjoy every sip! Report this review |
