Some holiday gift ideas

This year I have decided to economize my gift giving for a number of reasons.
# 1 – I have not been consistently pulling in income this year – a gig here and a gig there do not good income make.
# 2 – My new baby named OrganicPicks is sucking away a large portion of my disposable income, which is peanut size to begin with.
# 3 – I have begun to realize that most people think of gift buying as nothing but a pain in the rear end that you just have to endure.
So, sorry friends and family, if you are not my children, my children’ day care ladies or their teachers, you are not going to get much. But you will be happier because you are getting my real care and thoughts. So here are a few of my attempts:
For my sister, I downloaded a few very interesting and thought-provoking public radio programs and burned them on 5 CDs. I wrapped them in one of my never used silk scarfs.
-Total cost: $3 (blank CDs)
-Total time spent: 1 hour
-Expected enjoyability: way up there; I know she will love the programs
For my in-laws, I bought an album and printed out my children’s pictures in 2006. Used large-sized labels and included a few chicken scratches from the kids.
-Total cost: $35 (album and printing cost)
-Total time spent: 3 hours
-Expected enjoyability: way up there. They really don’t need any thing else
For my husband, who loves the outdoors, I am giving him a weekend to go up Mt. Shasta at the time of his choosing, while I look after the children and the dog
-Total cost: $0
-Total time spent: 30 minutes (thinking up the idea)
-Expected enjoyability: as high as Mt. Shasta. I will be sad though because I can not go with him
I welcome other ideas that cost less than $25 but go a long way in satisfaction rating.
